In 1992, present Spartan Business Systems, Inc. Chief Executive Officer Bill Scism and President Dennis Kimbrell identified a need in the Upstate of South Carolina for a business that would offer the highest quality copy, print, fax, scan solutions and the highest quality customer service. Traditionally, the business equipment dealer model was one of high transaction, high turnover of employees, high business failure and a history not exceeding the customer’s expectations. Mr. Scism and Mr. Kimbrell saw the need for an honest company, founded on the values of integrity, ethics, Christian principles, service oriented and sound business practices in the Spartanburg community. In 1992, after more than a decade each of industry experience in various sales and service leadership roles, that vision became a reality. In September 1992, Spartan Business Systems, Inc. was founded as Spartan Copy, opening its initial operation around the corner from its current location on US-221 in Spartanburg, SC. The rest is history.

Spartan Business Systems, Inc. is South Carolina and the Upstate's recognized leading provider of computer-connectable peripherals, including network-ready digital copiers/printers, laser printers, color copiers/printers, digital laser facsimiles, multi-functional, wide format imaging devices and network and software solutions. Spartan Business Systems, Inc. is locally owned and operated and provides trained, certified and knowledgeable professional sales and service technicians. We strive for 4 hour response time for all call resolutions during business hours as well as first call resolution.
